Date:1971

Description:The Yeld is a Grade II listed building in Little Haywood. This view faces Coley Lane but it is effectively the rear of the building. It ia an early- to mid-18th century building, altered in the mid-19th century, but it may possibly be earlier. This photograph was taken for Evans and Evans estate agents, presumably when the house was for sale in 1971.

The definition of yeld is barren or unproductive. In the early 20th century the house may have been known as Rose Villa.

Photographer: Peter Rogers, Mill Street, Stafford.
