Date:February 1952
Description:This scene shows drama in the boxing ring, as the referee stopped the contest between M Fellows, of Wolverhampton, and B Davenport, of Tunstall, in the Staffordshire Association of Boys' Clubs Boxing Championships held at the Borough Hall. Davenport collapsed on the canvas and Fellows would have fallen had his trainer not been there to hold him up. Fellows was awarded the bout.
