HERE DURING 1917 AND 1918 THE LAST TWO YEARS OF THE GREAT WAR THE EMPIRE CLUB WAS PRIVILEGED TO PROVIDE REST AND REFRESHEMNT FOR MORE THAN FORTY THOUSAND MEN OF HIS MAJESTY'S FORCES'
