Description:The Victorian school building is thought to date from the late 1870s and is still in use.

Mr John Williams has kindly provided some further details:
'A new Trust was formed in 1873 under the 1869 Endowed School Act. It was proposed that a new School be built in Dilhorne as soon as possible for 150 pupils, with a residence for the Master. This opened in 1879. The old School by Dilhorne Church was demolished. In 1894 the property owned by the Trust was worth £1466-1-11. This was in Blythe Bridge, Dilhorne and Forsbrook. Income was divided - £35 was for Dilhorne and any residue was for the benefit of Longton Endowed School.'
