Description:This postcard view was published by Valentines Series in Great Britain. The view is from Brook Square looking towards Market Square. Many of the buildings on both sides of the street remain (October 2013) however, over the years the ground floors have changed several times. Interesting note: This postcard was sent by Mr G Frith, Horse Fair, Rugeley to an address in Germany with the following request “Would like to exchange coloured views of Buildings and Streets preferred”. William Augustus 'Gus' Frith was a stationer, sub-postmaster and cabinet-maker at 55 Horsefair, and published postcards between about 1900 and 1910.
