Description:In front row, fourth from left is Harry Evans of Stone (b.1907). Before he was called up to the North Staffordshire Regiment in World War Two, he was in the Territorials. He is pictured here wearing sergeant's stripes with a group of Royal Pioneer Corps men. After the war, he became a Special Constable and worked at Joules Brewery in Stone.
