Date:1910 - 1920 (c.)

Description:Walton Grange was house rebuilt around 1860 which stood close to the junction with Stafford Road. Robert McVitie, then owner and son of the founder of McVitie's biscuits company, was staying here at the time of the 1891 census, having recently married the daughter of the owner, William Thompson, a brewer. It was the home of Colonel Barratt Green in the mid 20th century.

The house was demolished in the early 1970s and the site is now occupied by flats, although the servants' cottages still stand nearby on Stafford Road, close to Walton Bridge.
