Description:Rev. Frederick Cornwallis (1712-1783), Archbishop of Canterbury. He was the seventh son of Charles Cornwallis, 4th Baron Cornwallis. Born in London, he was educated at Eton College and Christ's College, Cambridge. He was appointed Bishop of Lichfield and Coventry in 1750, and Archbishop of Canterbury in 1768.
