In the foreground to the left is the Burton, Uttoxeter and Ashbourne Bank; to the right is Elkes' Temperance Hotel and Restaurant. In the distance on the right hand side of the Street can be seen the porch of the White Hart Hotel and the timber framed building now occupied by Uttoxeter Heritage Centre.
