Description:St. Joseph's Convent viewed from the garden. This building was originally Forebridge Villa, built on Lichfield Road in the early nineteenth century.

The house was bought in 1905 by sisters from the French Order of St. Joseph of Cluny. Here they established a convent and girls' school. In later years a large extension was built facing Lichfield Road which opened in 1932. Today (2025) the convent is a home for the elderly.
