Description:A group of children with adults, named in the photograph caption as ‘Longton Y.S.L.’ pictured outside the gates to the Corporation Yard at the rear of Longton Swimming Baths, which is the large building in the background. We have been unable to confirm the meaning of the initials ‘Y.S.L.’

Longton Baths were built in 1880-1881. The private baths were still open until 1963, the public baths having closed in 1948. The building was demolished in the late 1960s due to subsidence.
