Description:A postcard view captioned “Old Part of Stone” which shows the rear of houses on Church Street, with the tower of St. Michael's Church in the background. On the extreme right is the Robin Hood public house. There was a large pond at the back of these houses and a path beside the Robin Hood leading down to it, this was known as Goblin's Hole.
This photograph was taken from the footpath which runs between Church Street and Mill Lane at the rear of what is now (2020) Morrison's supermarket.
This postcard was published by T. G. Adie & Co’s., High Street, Stone. It was franked on 4 August 1904 in Stone and sent to an address in Abergele, North Wales.
