Description:Wolverhampton Die Casting Company, acquired the factory in 1955 and closed it in 1966 (together with their Ludlow factory). It was sold to Barrs Industrial. By 1968 it was again used for die-casting by C.E. Marshall (Wolverhampton) Ltd.

Previously the manufacturing works of John Marston Ltd. manufacturer of Sunbeam cycles, motorcycles and cars. John Marston purchased a Japan-ware factory on the site in 1871 rebuilding and greatly enlarging it in 1877. They began making cycles and registered the name 'Sunbeam' in 1881. The works were named 'Sunbeamland'. The cycle side of the business was managed by his son, Charles. The appearance as in this photograph dates from a major redevelopment in 1911.

The main building still exists. It is being (2020-2025) converted into a luxury apartment development known as 'living at SUNBEAM'. The site fills a block bounded by Paul Street, Pool Street and Jeddo Street. The nearest car in the picture is a Vauxhall Victor FB (1962-1964).
