Description:No. 82 Wolverhampton Road, Stafford is the Presbytery (priest's house) for the Grade II listed St. Austin's Roman Catholic Church, partially seen on left. The three-storey building was built for the Rev. John Corne in 1791 when Catholics became free to worship publicly.

The church was designed by E. W. Pugin in 1861-1862. The old church, just seen in between St. Austin's and the Presbytery, is the partial remains of an 1817-1819 remodelling by Edward Jerningham of an earlier chapel: these are collectively Grade II listed.
