Description:A view of the North Staffordshire Railway's (NSR) Wall Grange railway station, near Cheddleton. This photograph was taken before the track was doubled and a second platform built in 1910. The Caldon Canal runs behind the hedge to the right of the buildings.
The young man wearing a straw boater stands near the advertisement for Pears soap. There is a barrow and hand carts neatly parked on the platform.. The rail trucks on the short spur of rail track could possibly contain bricks packed in straw as the Wall Grange brickworks was nearby. The track was singled again in 1971 after the station was closed to passenger traffic in 1956.
