Description:Looking north on Foregate Street, Stafford with County Road on the right foreground and Sash Street further along.

The white building with dormer windows is number 62-63, Foregate Street, built around 1698. The rendering was removed and the front rebuilt around 1982 when it was renovated as offices for the Sutton Housing Trust. It is Grade II Listed.

The lean-to extension was a wheelwright’s and smithy. It has since been rebuilt in brick. The row of three shops beyond Sash Street still stand (2026).
