Description:The Offley Arms on Poolside, Madeley. It was built as a timber-framed house in the 16th century but refaced in the 18th century in brick when the building became a coaching inn. The stables, seen here to the right, were also built at this time to house coach horses. At the time of this photograph the landlord was William Stubbs Tavernor.
