Description:This engraving has been incorrectly identified in the Staffordshire Views collection as Blackladies, near Brewood. It is actually Long Birch Hall, a Tudor and Jacobean house. Most of the house collapsed when restoration was being undertaken in 1874 and the foundations were blown up. A smaller farmhouse was built on the same site in 1878.

Additional plate for `The History and Antiquities of Staffordshire,' S. Shaw. Anonymous, [?S. Shaw.]
