Description:Group of workers pose in front of a kiln at Wall Grange Brickworks. Some of the men and boys are holding brickmaking tools and moulds. The foreman or 'gaffer' is to the right, wearing a bowler hat.

The works dated from about 1890 and closed in the late 1950s. They were located in the Park Lane area and were served by the nearby railway station.
