Description:A painting by Bill Webster in L.S. Lowry's style painted in April 2023, showing Longton in the 1950s.

The view from Paragon Road looking towards the Church of St James the Less Church in the distance. Paragon Road was formally Ford Sreet, the name of which which was changed alongside many others in the early 1950s to remove duplicated and outdated names throughout the city of Stoke-on-Trent.

Paragon Road was named after the Paragon China Works and the factory boundary wall can be seen on the right. The middle left lower bottle ovens are those in Sutherland Road and the upper bottle ovens are in the adjacent streets to Uttoxeter Road (formally High Street). The bottle ovens in Sutherland Road were those of Regency China on the left hand corner of Paragon Road and further left were the Adderley (Royal Adderley) floral china works. Next door was Rosina China (Queen's China).
