Description:This view looks north along Water Street towards Mill Street.

On the left is the old Baptist Church which possibly dates from around 1858 when first Baptist congregation met in Stafford. Services were transferred to the new Chapel at The Green in 1896. Later it was used as a meeting room and then a corn mill, at the time of this photograph it was being used as a warehouse. It was demolished about 1977-1978.

The car on the right is from around 1961, Mk1 Ford Consul Cortina 2-door, pre the introduction of 'Aeroflow' through-flow ventilation (1964).
