Description:The former Police Superintendent’s house on Leonard Street, Leek.

Standing adjacent to the former County Police Station this Grade II listed building dates from 1891-2, it was designed by local architects: the father and son practice of William and William Larner Sugden, whose works include the Nicholson Institute. Towards the end of its Police usage in 1987 the building was used as a canteen and bar area. On closure it became a private residence. It was purchased in 1996 and converted into offices and meeting rooms known as 'Court Lodge'. It is now (2025) residential apartments. On the extreme right can be seen one of the arched gateway pillars leading to the old police stabling area.
