Description:Pyebirch Manor was rebuilt around 1860 and was the home of the Robinson family until 1877. It was then occupied by Mrs Charlotte Anna Byrne and family, which included her daughter Sophia Charlotte Byrne, folklorist, and best known for her book 'Shropshire Folklore' published in 1893.

By 1903 the Hollins family were living there. On Miss Constance Hollins' death in 1926 the house was sold to Colonel Sir Herbert Hunter who was Chief Constable of Staffordshire Police between 1929 and 1951. The house then became the home of Mrs Constance Evelyn Meakin who lived there until her death in 1966.
