Description:William Yates' produced the accurately surveyed medium-scale map of Staffordshire. His survey began in 1769 and finished in 1775 at a scale of 1 inch to 1 mile. This later version of his map is at a scale of 2 inches to 1 mile and was published by W. Faden, Geographer, of Charing Cross on 10 August 1798. Hundreds and parks are marked in green and orange.
