Description:A view of the Manor House on High Green from the gardens at the rear of the house. There is a horse and carriage parked in front of the house. This large Georgian house was the home of the George Rogers and family at the turn of the 20th century and was purchased by Col. John Thomas Williamson (1853-1932) by 1916. After his widow, Margaret Jane Williamson died in November 1935 the house and its contents were put up for sale. It was demolished in late 1936 and new buildings, including a cinema, were built on the site.
