Date:12th of February 1951

Description:Four men pictured at the English Electric Co. Ltd. Stafford premises when they attended the Engineering Society Short papers evening. Second left is D.B. Perry, Plant Sales Department at English Electric. He started with the company on 12 April 1950 after moving from Essex. He was initially allocated lodgings at Frobisher Hall, Swynnerton and shortly afterwards had lodgings with Miss Neale at 1, Meyrick Road, close to the factory.

In the background there is a glimpse of the Main Works factory. The Stafford Works was renowned for its electrical equipment products including generators, transformers and switchgear.
