Description:Lapley Hall dates from the late 16th or early 17th century and is brick-built with stone dressings. In 1875 the house was enlarged and extensively restored by Col. F.H. Swinfen. During the Civil War Lapley Hall (then Lapley House) held a parliamentary garrison of 70 men.
