Description:An inscription on the monument reads ‘In memory of a very favourite horse called Lincoln shot 29 May 1865 aged 22. This monument erected by its owner Rob Hargreaves AD 1866.’ Major Robert Halstead Hargreaves built Knightley Grange in 1860-68.
