Description:The Green family pictured in their rented accommodation at the former R.A.F. hutment at Ladfordfields, near Seighford, shortly before they were rehoused by the landlords, Stafford Rural Council.

The Nissen huts at Ladfordfields were used as temporary housing after World War Two, and the site became home for 30 families, mostly Polish. There were still 20 dwellings occupied in 1970 but they were in increasingly poor condition. The families had all been rehoused by late 1972 and the remaining huts were demolished. The site was developed as an industrial park in the late 1970s.
