Description:The Methodist New Connexion Chapel at Enson was opened in 1863 to serve the villagers of Enson, Sandon, Burston, Salt and Marston. The site was given by Mr John Leese of Enson and the foundation stone was laid by Mr G.L. Robinson of Longton on 4 May 1863. Building work proceeded quickly and the opening service took place on 13 July 1863 with a sermon by Rev. T.W. Ridley, ex-President of Conference.
Congregations dwindled after the First World War and the chapel finally closed in 1939. It was sold in 1948 and has since been used for storage.
