The tall man at the front of the queue is Sergeant Major Percy Bloor. The burly man serving the beer is Major Clive. In between them, directly facing the camera is Jack Headley, headmaster of Cheddleton School. The man directly to the right of Percy Bloor is Norman Turner. The Sergeant two places behind Percy Bloor in the queue is Johnny Jackson.
