Description:A group photograph of Cheddleton Home Guard with R.A.F. and Air Raid Precautions personnel. Sgt. Percy Bloor is 5th from left of the front (seated) row, next to Jack Hedley. Sgt. Bloor enlisted in the 5th Battalion, North Staffordshire Home Guard on 13th June 1940, was promoted to Sergeant 27th September 1940 and shortly afterwards again promoted to Company Sergeant-Major on 23rd October 1940.
