Description:Watercolour painting by William Eyre Walker R.W.S. (1847-1930).

Born in Manchester, Walker was a prolific painter of landscapes of England, Wales and Scotland, mostly in watercolour.

Walker moved to London where he was a member of the Royal Watercolour Society from 1896. He exhibited his work there and at the Royal Academy in the late 19th century. He later lived in Stow-on-the-Wold and in Dorset, before moving to Wimbledon.

These works were donated to Stafford Art Gallery in the 1960s by Dr D.W. Eyre-Walker of Offley Brook, near Eccleshall.
