Description:Stone Lodge also known as North Lodge lies within the grounds of Pell Wall Hall which is the last completed house designed by Sir John Soane. Pell Wall was in Staffordshire until 1965, when it became part of Shropshire.

Stone Lodge is a Grade II* listed building designed by Sir John Soane. It was restored, extended and converted into a house in 1978. It was built of local sandstone ashlar and is thought to have been completed before August 1828. The Lodge is a unique blend of gothic and classical styles with decorative parapets at three corners and is arranged on a five-part plan. This remarkable building was intended as an ornamental entrance lodge at the northern corner of the estate and as an eye-catcher to be seen from within the estate and when approaching the house from nearby Market Drayton on the Newport Road A529.
