Description:Thomas Edwin Haywood (1886-1958) was a member of the Stafford Fire Brigade, as was his elder brother Ernest, who drove the fire engine, and his father Alfred, who was Chief Fire Officer. He is pictured outside the fire station which was built in 1885 at the junction of Greengate Street and Bridge Street, next to the Royal Brine Baths.

Thomas was a joiner working on his own account from premises at South Walls, Stafford, he retired around 1951. He and hios brother Ernest within a week of each other in 1958.
