Description:A postcard photograph taken on the northern edge of Cannock chase with the caption "Tommy Love-making, Brocton Camp".

The couple are sitting on top of the small sluice gate which can still be found adjacent to the pond at Milford. The outer wall of Shugborough estate can be seen besides the Milford to Rugeley Road (with cyclists on it) which passes Satnall Hills Quarry. The entrance to Shugborough is just to the left, out of camera shot. This area is now heavily covered in trees as is most of the area around Milford Common compared to how it used to be. The water course there has almost dried up over the years due to the tree growth and the sluice is no longer in use or needed to control the flow of water.
