Description:Malt is used in the brewing industry and this former Malthouse pictured on Water Street, Stafford dates from 1836 - 1837. It was formerly owned by George Brewster, who built the town mill in 1834. In later years the building was renovated and currently (2025) the ground floor contains an Estate Agents office, a Bridal-ware showroom, the first floor has a suite of offices and in the cellar there is the Mela Lounge an Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant.
