Description:On the left is Grade II listed Wharf Cottage viewed from the A5 Watling Street where it crosses the Staffordshire and Worcester Canal. It was built around 1800 as a lock-keeper's cottage, it originally had one room on each storey and cast-iron gothic style window frames. It now (2025) has a half-depth, two storey extension replacing the lean-to on the left. On the right is The Round House which is also a Grade II listed building and is also said to be a lock keepers cottage.
