Description:Knightley Grange was built between 1860 and 1868 by Major Robert Hargreaves of Cob Hall Farm.
Major Hargreaves gave this as his address in 1862 when he was a Major in the Staffordshire Rifle Volunteers. His descendants lived at the Grange until the 1960's. The house overlooked the Gamekeepers' House towards the Wrekin. The park contained a deer farm, which was restocked with deer given by Walter Bagot of Blithfield in the seventeenth century.
In later years the tower was removed in 1967 when it was found to be pulling down the rest of the house. At the same time the front was remodelled and the bay windows removed. Part of the building was dismantled in the 1980s and it was completely demolished in 2019.
