Description:This postcard view shows the military railway coming down Penkridge Bank Road from the White House where it splits to go round Rifle Range Corner to the left of the photograph. The Parade Ground ahead belongs to No. 7 Battalion Line.

A spur line goes down towards Kingsley Wood Road to the rear of Battalion Lines 1 to 3, and 13 and 14. On this corner were the Banks and Post Office which must have been a busy meeting place for the troops. Walking down the road there appear to be members of the Women's Army Auxiliary Army Corps, therefore this photograph may have been later in the Camp's life as they were recruited to perform jobs that freed troops to go to the front as the Army was running short of men.
