Date:1789 - 1850 (c.)

Description:'Christ Church and Schools, Burton on Trent.' Showing the church surrounded by railings, with a tower and spire with corner pinnacles and an entrance door at the bottom. The church has thin, pointed windows and is Gothic in appearance. It was built in 1843-4 on Uxbridge Street to designs by Joseph Mitchell of Sheffield. Inscribed: 'Cost of erection Church £2800.0.0 Schools £700.0.0. To acomodate Church 1000 persons School 550 scholars.' Drawn and printed by C. Hullman for Joseph Mitchell, Architect.
