Description:Officials of the Cheadle Wesleyan Methodist Circuit, guests and children pictured during celebrations to mark the opening of a new Sunday School at Godley Brook Methodist Chapel, on Godley Barn Lane, Dilhorne. The chapel was built in 1816 and later extended.

The stone laying for the new Sunday School was in April 1928 and the opening May 30th 1928. It cost £449-19-6 to build. The chapel closed due to the COVID pandemic (2020) and was sold. Now converted to a dwelling. (Information John Williams)
