Description:Miss R.M. Harrison, OBE, of Maer Hall holding the bridle of a horse. She was a well-known breeder of Hunters.

Rosamond Mary Harrison was born in Wallasey, Cheshire on 10 May 1887, the third daughter of Frederick James Harrison of Maer Hall, shipping magnate. She was a long standing President of Staffordshire Women's Institute. During World War II she was Organising Secretary for Staffordshire Red Cross and St. John Joint War Organisation Prisoners of War Dept., member of the Staffordshire War Agriculture Executive Committee, and Chairman of the Women's Land Army in Staffordshire. She was also Master of Foxhounds for the North Staffordshire Hunt between 1930 and 1948. She died at Maer on 8 September 1948.
