Description:Oil painting on canvas showing men riding heavily laden donkeys. Middle eastern townscape in background. Signed at bottom right - 'Eilidh'. Written on back of stretcher - '"Ride into Khiva, Turkmenistan, Eastern USSR" by Eilidh Barnado, Leomansley House, Lichfield'.

The artist Eilidh Armour-Brown (Barnado)was born in 1911 and died in 1994. She was a great-niece of Dr. Thomas Barnado.
