Description:The house was home to Robert Wright, a silk manufacturer. He lived here with his wife Sarah Maria, his two children, mother-in-law, and two servants in the late 19th century. Mr Wright, who was a Methodist, owned Brunswick Mill on Britannia Street, which employed 35 people in 1881. By 2003 this corner site had become Smith & Bainbridge's television and electrical shop. The tall building with the tower situated behind Spring Lodge was Regent Street School. It has since been demolished.
