Description:This view was taken on The Green, also known as part of Bailey Street, Stafford,

From left to right: a glimpse of F. H. Burgess, (Agricultural Engineers and Ironmongers premises), next is the former Eley's Stafford Brewery's offices until 1928, adjacent is 'Salon Lawrence', Ladies Hairdresser, who also had premises in Penkridge. All of the buildings were demolished in 2002 to make way for The Friary Retail Park.

Centre right is No’s. 1 and 2, The Green, which remains. Further along a large ‘Sandyford’ sign can be seen on a building occupied by the Sandyford Trading Co. Ltd., in the early 1970's it became Stafford Reprographics Ltd. Printers and it is currently (2025) part of the Francesco Group of Hair Salons known as the Stafford Academy and on the extreme right there is the Odeon Cinema.
