Description:A child’s cradle made around 1800 - 1900 by a local blacksmith for Yew Tree Farm, Gnosall.
Rectangular cradle with arched cover at one end made from wrought iron. The sides and cover are constructed from vertical wrought iron rods secured to the framework. Scrolls decorate the centre back and the ends of the rockers. There are traces of green paint on the metalwork. It has a lift-out slatted wooden base, painted dark green.
The cradle is now part of the Staffordshire County Museum collection.
