Description:Now located in the North Transept, the tomb of Sir Edward Aston of Tixall who died in 1568 and his wife Joan Bollys/Bowles who died 1562. The recumbent effigies have been mutilated. Originally located in the Chancel, which in the 18th century was used as an Assize Court, the damage to Sir Edward's head is said to have been caused by the careless erection of a jury box over the monument.
