Description:Wolverhampton Town Hall photographed in 1966 by Dr J.E.C. Peters.

Situated on North Street, Wolverhampton, this Grade II listed building dates from 1869-71. It was designed by Manchester architect Ernest Bates and built by local contractor Philip Horsman who also built the nearby Art Gallery. The building ceased to be the Town Hall in 1978 after a new Civic Centre was built in St. Peters Square. It is now known as 'The Old Town Hall' and is currently (2026) the home of Wolverhampton Magistrates Court.

The building partially seen on the extreme left dates from 1874, historically known as 'The Little Civic' and lately as ‘North Street Social'.
