Description:A view of St. James Church, Acton Trussell, taken from the Penkridge Road looking north. Over the years this scene is largely unchanged today (2026).

The church is Grade II* listed and is said to date from 1212. It was extensively restored in 1869-70 by architect George Edmund Street (1824-81) using Eccleshall builder Mr Espley. During these alterations it was discovered that the church had originally been larger.

This postcard was franked in Bednall, Stafford, on 17 November 1931 and sent to an address in Blandford, Dorset.
